Westwood up to No. 26 in world after win in Thailand

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Lee Westwood rallied to win the
Thailand Golf Championship on Sunday and that victory vaulted him to No. 26 in
this week’s world rankings.

Westwood, who was previously No. 43 in the world, fired a 5-under 67 in the
final round to come from behind and win. He finished the week at 8-under-par
280.

There was not much change to the top players in the world as Rory McIlroy
maintained his stronghold on the No. 1 spot. Henrik Stenson, Adam Scott, Bubba
Watson and Justin Rose all stayed put and they are Nos. 2 through 5.

The first and only change to the top 10 came at six and seven as Sergio Garcia
and Jim Furyk exchanged places, with Garcia moving up one to No. 6. Jason Day,
Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Matt Kuchar all held firm as Nos. 8 through
11.

Martin Kaymer and Phil Mickelson traded places, with Kaymer up to 12 and
Mickelson falling a spot to 13. Billy Horschel, Graeme McDowell, Hideki
Matsuyama, Victor Dubuisson, Zach Johnson, Dustin Johnson and Chris Kirk all
remained the same and they rounded out the top 20 from No. 14.
