Irving, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Lexi Thompson fired a 3-under 68 in
Saturday’s third round and she shares the lead with world No. 2 Inbee Park,
who shot a 2-under 69, heading into the final round of the North Texas
Thompson and Park were able to grab a share of the lead late and they finished
54 holes at 9-under-par 204. Thompson has four career victories on the LPGA
Tour, including one major title, while Park has won 13 times with five major
Monday qualifier and second-round leader Brooke Henderson had at least a share
of the lead throughout most of the day, but a couple late bogeys led to an
even-par 71. The 17-year-old is tied for third at 8-under 205 with Karrie Webb
(64) and Angela Stanford (67) at Las Colinas Country Club.
Cristie Kerr (69) and Hee Young Park (70) are one shot further back and tied
for sixth at minus-7.
