Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Bernhard and Jason Langer carded a 10-under
62 along with Curtis and Tom Strange in Saturday’s first round and those two
teams hold a 1-shot lead at the PNC Father/Son Challenge.
Bernhard Langer is coming off an incredible season on the Champions Tour as he
picked up five wins, making it 23 total on tour. Curtis Strange has never won
on the Champions Tour, but he is a 17-time winner on the PGA Tour.
Bernhard Langer has won this event twice in the past, both with his son
Stefan. Curtis Strange has never won this event.
The Langers and Stranges hold a 1-shot lead over Johnny and Andy Miller, Vijay
and Qass Singh, Hale and Steve Irwin and defending champions Stewart and
Connor Cink, who all shot 9-under 63s in the first round at Ritz-Carlton Golf
Club at Grand Lakes Resort.
