Kim moves back into top 50 in world rankings

Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Christina Kim ended a 9-year winless
drought on Sunday and that helped Kim return to the top 50 in the latest
women’s world golf rankings.

Kim, who as she beat Shanshan Feng in a playoff to win the Lorena Ochoa
Invitational, jumped 27 places to No. 49 after winning for the third time on
the LPGA Tour.

The top eight in the rankings remained the same with No. 1 Inbee Park followed
by Stacy Lewis, Lydia Ko, Suzann Pettersen, Shanshan Feng, Michelle Wie, So
Yeon Ryu and Karrie Webb.

Lexi Thompson shared 15th place in her title defense in Mexico and that helped
her improve one spot to ninth in the rankings. That pushed Hyo-Joo Kim down a
notch to No. 10.

Anna Nordqvist, Kyu Jung Baek and Cristie Kerr remained Nos. 11-13. Azahara
Munoz and Sun Ju Ahn exchanged places with Munoz inching up to 14th.

Na Yeon Choi was 16th again this week and trailed by Mirim Lee, Paula Creamer,
Brittany Lincicome and Angela Stanford.

Xiyu Lin won her first Ladies European Tour title on Sunday and that helped
her soar 34 places to No. 96 in the new rankings.
