Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) – Hyo Joo Kim fired a 6-under 66 in Saturday’s
third round and moved two strokes clear of the field at the JTBC Founders Cup.
Kim finished 54 holes at 16-under-par 200. She earned her lone LPGA Tour win
last year at the Evian Championship.
World No. 3 Stacy Lewis posted a 5-under 67 at Wildfire Golf Club and she
moved into second place at minus-14.
Kim Kaufman, who led when the second round was completed earlier Saturday,
managed a 2-under 70 in the third round. Kaufman ended 54 holes at 13-under-
par 203 and she was joined there by Alison Lee, who fired a 9-under 63 for the
low round of the week.
World No. 1 Lydia Ko carded a 3-under 69 for the second round in a row. She
stands alongside Ha Na Jang (68) and Mi Hyang Lee (68) in fifth place at
minus-12.
There was a four-hour weather delay on Thursday and the tournament narrowly
caught up on Saturday as the final groups finished in the dark.
