Four share first-round lead at Champions Qualifying Tournament

Winter Garden, FL (SportsNetwork.com) – Doug Rohrbaugh, Chien Soon Lu, Rod
Spittle and Jeff Coston fired matching 3-under 69s on Tuesday and they share
the first-round lead at the Champions Tour National Qualifying Tournament.

Of the leaders, only Spittle has a victory on the Champions Tour at the 2010
AT&T Championship.

Dick Mast and Jim Rutledge carded 2-under 70s at Panther Lake Golf Course and
they are tied for fifth.

The only other players under par through one round are Greg Bruckner, Cesar
Monasterio, Craig Thomas, Robert Thompson, Frank Esposito and Joel Edwards,
all of whom shot matching, 1-under 71s.

All 78 players in the field are looking to finish in the top five, which would
give them full exemption on the Champions Tour in 2015. Nos. 6-12 will get
conditional status, while the top-30 finishers and ties will be eligible to
compete for spots in open qualifiers at all cosponsored events.
