Ciganda joins Park atop leaderboard in Singapore

Singapore (SportsNetwork.com) – Carlota Ciganda fired a 6-under 66 in
Friday’s second round and she joined Inbee Park atop the leaderboard at the
HSBC Women’s Champions.

Park, who shared the first-round lead with Yani Tseng, carded a 3-under 69 and
she finished day two tied with Ciganda for the lead at 9-under-par 135. Park
has 12 career victories, including five major championships, on the LPGA Tour,
while Ciganda is seeking her first win.

Azahara Munoz, who was one of Ciganda’s teammates on the victorious team Spain
at last season’s International Crown, shot a 5-under 67 and she is alone in
third place at 7-under 137 on the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club.

World No. 1 Lydia Ko, the winner of the Women’s Australian Open two weeks ago,
is still in the mix after shooting a 2-under 70 in her second round. Ko is
tied for fourth with Stacy Lewis (69), Jenny Shin (70) and Karrie Webb (70).

Defending champion Paula Creamer rebounded from her 74 on Thursday, shooting a
1-under 71. She is tied for 36th at 1-over 145. Tseng carded a 3-over 75 in
her second round and she dropped into a tie for 17th at 3-under 141.
