Bet33 PGA Pick of the Week : Zurich Classic 4/28

Our Bet33 PGA Pick of the Week avails us the opportunity to confer with some of the sharper golf handicapping minds in the business for our mutual pursuit of profit.  They have a linesperson on staff whose passions if golf.  He aligns his workweek so that he can sit down on Thursday’s to watch the Golf Channel to rail home his sports investments.  He is here with us at APEX Golf Betting this week to take on the Zurich Classic which starts on April 28th.  So let us hear his spin on the course as well as some futures and fades to embrace for our bankrolls growth at Bet33 and other spectacular sportsbooks.

Bet33 PGA Pick of the Week : Scoring Machines

TPC New Orleans presents us with polarized candidates to rail this week.  First off, the field is top heavy with three big names and then the quality falls off the map.  Jason Day, Justin Rose, and Rickie Fowler represent the top ten.  While I would not go as far as to fade Fowler, he is hands off this week because of his up and down performances.  One needs a golfer that can not only throw darts to get those birdies but go long periods without self destructing.  Justin Rose is your man.  Defending champ on this course who went 66 straight holes without a bogey. Oddly enough, he is only the second favorite in the futures at Bet33.  For those that like this type of speculation, Justin Rose has better value and superior price to Jason Day this weekend.

Why Not Charley Hoffman Then?

First off, this course is over 7,400 yards long.  This stretches Hoffman’s skill set more than most.  He has the consistency but can not go on those birdie streaks which dictate a top five finish here.  He is set in head to head action with Billy Horschel with both getting -110 in the first round.  Charley is our fade for this event so it would be prudent for those to invest at Bet33 with Billy Horschel over Charley Hoffman (first round).

Dark Horse of the Event

Some of the key ingredients for success this weekend lie in the Par 3 and 5 holes.  They are all clumped together in yardage.  Combine that with greens in regulation and strokes gained tee to green and we have a candidate for you.  +1800 region for futures is Daniel Berger.  He is playing well in these stats and out of his mind for his age (21).  Look at his last three events.

  • Valspar 11th
  • Houston Open 5th
  • Masters 10th

This is high risk to reward but he scores a lot of birdies.  His bogey penchant is high but might not be here.  With the yardage being very close on all the Par 3’s and 5’s, creativity is not a prerequisite for success.  Let him pound the ball and he should overachieve in a Top 5 future as well as heads up wagering.

There you have it.  Golf Channel starts their coverage at 3PM on Thursday the 27th.  Good fortune with your sports investments with Bet33 and we will see you next week here at APEX Golf Betting.
